As an alumni of the Financial Coach Practitioner Certificate, supervision is one of the most valuable investments you can make in your own development.

Whether you're just getting started or have been coaching for years, these sessions give you time to reflect on your work and stay grounded in what matters most.

Supervision sessions are:

Our team of experienced coaching supervisors are here to support you.

Professor George Callaghan

George brings a unique blend of academic insight, coaching experience and deep emotional intelligence to his supervision work.

As a financial coach, qualified coach, coach supervisor and university professor, he understands the intersection of theory, practice and the very human side of money.

George trained as a financial coach with Wise Monkey in 2017 and has become a core part of the Financial Coach Practitioner Certificate training team. He also delivers the Personal Finance Seminar Series for Wise Monkey.

He is especially skilled at holding space for reflection, ethical inquiry, and supporting coaches to grow in both confidence and self-awareness. His calm, thoughtful presence helps coaches feel safe to explore challenges and develop greater clarity in their work.

George has a strong personal commitment to learning and continues to undertake regular training to deepen and expand his coaching practice.

A passionate advocate for supervision in financial coaching, George believes it should be a cornerstone of professional practice - and leads by example through regular supervision for his own work.

George offers supervision with compassion, clarity and grounded wisdom - and a touch of humour too.

Simonne Gnessen

Simonne is the founder of Wise Monkey and a pioneer of financial coaching in the UK, shaping both the practice and profession of financial coaching in the UK.

With over two decades of experience supporting individuals to transform their relationship with money, she brings a wealth of knowledge, heart and practical insight to her supervision.

Simonne designed and leads the Financial Coach Practitioner Certificate training, which has become one of the most respected programmes of its kind. She continues to run a thriving coaching practice alongside her training role and supporting and championing the wider financial coaching profession in the UK.

She believes in the value of ongoing reflective practice, and sees supervision as a vital part of working ethically, staying resourced, and continually learning.

While George leads on the delivery of supervision, Simonne is occasionally available for one-to-one sessions, especially where there's a preference to work with her.

Her approach is intuitive, down-to-earth and grounded in her commitment to the emotional and psychological depth of this work.
